Inspirational Movies!

In a country where cricket is a religion and movie stars are worshiped, it takes a movie to spread across some message to the mass. Just imagine, you've got chocolate wrapper in your hand and it is very obvious that you would not hold it till you find a dust-bin around you. You will without hesitation throw it on the road or where ever you are. (This is not applicable incase you are at your home under any circumstances. Why?) Who am I to ask this? Right? Do I stop someone from littering the street? No. But atleast I don't even litter it myself. (Believe me.)

Oh! The topic suggests something else, right? No. It wasn't meant to lure you into reading this. That is in reference to 'Lage raho Munnabhai' movie. Yes, the Gandhigiri one. (Ah! What a coincidence, I'm writing this piece on the 2nd of October.) After the movie had come out, I was surprised to see that many people actually stopped littering. I surely was more than glad. But every happiness is short lived. People got back to their usual self. For those whom 'Gandhigiri' was in, it was again a subject of some time-pass movie.

How much can a movie change the world? Or even lets take the nation only. Do we need a movie to make us ponder over such things? So that it remains on the top of our minds till its running in the theatres and later gone with the wind? Why do we don't have a sense of our own? Why do we get impressed by such things, but when it comes to getting practical... Who cares? Was just like some another movie.

'Chak de India' is something that is the craze of the nation. Currently. (Though I haven't seen the movie and not even intending to.) The movie is based on 'Hockey' (supposed to be our national sport!). But has it helped? Our hockey team was winning then, and what do papers have to say? The movie had inspired the team to win. Wow! The movie sure gets the credit. And what about the players? Do they even get recognition? People who don't even watch cricket know some (or even most) of the players because they grace the television by their presence (of course the commercials)!

Aren't the 'other' players playing hard enough? Or winning is a child's play for them? They don't even get enough infrastructure than the cricketers. The only other Indian sport that is sometimes in limelight is Tennis. And when asked if there is any partiality between the treatment met to these cricketers and the others, what do people have to say? They say that the cricketers have to even bear the ire of the fans after their loses just like the worship and celebrations after their victories. Justified? Absolutely lopsided! These cricket aficionados can go to any extent to defend their love for the game.

I don't know whats on my mind right now. Just been reading about the recent treatment meted out to these players and so its all here. Things are going to be as it is. This was only a vent to my thoughts. In the end I want to see some kind of equality among the sports in the country. As long as India wins, who is complaining? And trust me, I won't, even if we lose.

P.S. People please stop littering.

Dear Friend

It's nice for me to have found this blogg of yours. I read and saw what I could, my time is short.
I sure hope and wish that you take courage enough to pay me a visit in my PALAVROSSAVRVS REX!, and plus get some surprise with my work there. My blogg is so cool! Don't think for a minute that my invitation is spam and I'm a spammer.
I often come across with so good but lonely bloggs in my friendly random search,
my search for a public that may like or love what I POETRY write and also CHRONICLE,
among other types of Artistic Texts: we all search HAPINESS and JOY, don't we?
Well I'm realy happy to have found YOU.

I've learned and seen a lot after much more than 10.000 bloggs I've visted in the late three months.
And I will, like Titanic's Kate, keep on and on and on and, like the song, feel that I 'Still haven't found what I'm looking for'.

When you come and visit me feel free to comment as you wish and, TOGETHER, let's make blogguing universal,
realy universal, as well all the essential causes that bring us all together by visiting, helping and loving one another this GENTLE way.

Let me tell you that some I visit feel invaded and ofended that I present myself this way in their blogs
and rudely insult me back or post a mockery post on me.
Some think I'm playing the smart guy who wants to profit in some way from (and with) others curiosity and benevolence.
Some simply ignore me.
Some aknowledge that It's most important we all take notion that there's milions of us bloguing arownd the world
and thus vital any kind of awareness of eachother such as I believe
this my self-introduction card and insert apeal brings in.

May you be one of those open and friendly spirits.

Don't feel obliged to come and visit me.
An invitation is not an intimation. Know that if you FOR A SECOND click on one of my GOOGLE ADS
I can earn a lot of money and so can you and there's no shame in it.
I would feel happy and rewarded if you did click it FOR A SECOND
because certainly I WOULD DO IT FOR YOU in case you had them and asked me.

I think that in the end it's to UNITE MANKIND that we became bloggers!
When in my blogg don't see language as an obstacle but as a challenge
(though you can use the translater BabelFish at the bottom of my page!)
and think for a minute if I and the rest of the world are not expecting something like a broad cumplicity that you're a part of.
Remenber that pictures talk also and I have de most delicious ones.

I Hope this message of mine had helped you in some way.

See you soon, MY FRIEND.
May the LORD bless our HEARTS and fill them with PEACE AND MOTIVATION
to endure our Lives the best way we can.

A FRIEND

Oh! Movies are never going to inspire anybody or anything. They are for pure entertainment...just to be seen and forgotten. And wonder if any sports other than cricket are going to get some attention and respect in our country. In short - 'this is India'

I expected another mediocre blog entry, however it was much better than what I was expecting.

The best part of the post : Though I haven't seen the movie and not even intending to.

Trust me, I had no idea how people liked that movie. Have they never seen Remember the Titans or Green Street or ID or Any Given Sunday ?

about cricket... there was a time i used to adore the game... then i pushed it out of my head, just cos it was not worth the hullaboo it got...atleast not in any way above the other sports in india...athletics,football,hockey,volleyball,badminton....kabbadi...
most of the games i have been associated with while in school.

i had to smile (lol) at your comment....so impersonal & short & convincing. [sorry if u think its rude of me to comment on it- :) ]
